Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marco van Persie started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Floresta Negra FC booed when América-SC F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Washington Bezerra took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Paraibano. Frank Paraibano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Floresta Negra FC's Frank Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Henrique in the 14th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Pitta got free with Frank Paraibano in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as América-SC F.C.'s Luiz Pitta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Frank Paraibano. That made the score 3-0 after 26 minutes of play. After 28 played minutes Floresta Negra FC got a freekick which was hit by Nico das Neves. Gaston Roderigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco van Persie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 played minutes Floresta Negra FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho de Queiroz. Frank Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Henrique in the 38th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes América-SC F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Montenegro. The crowd rose to their feet as América-SC F.C.'s Luís Henrique slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Frank Paraibano. That made the score 4-0 after 43 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Floresta Negra FC's zone, Luiz Pitta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Paraibano came out of the goal and Luiz Pitta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Luís Henrique made the kick off in the second half. Alfredão Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. América-SC F.C. made a substitution. Carlos Carioca replaced Luizinho Silva. Alfredão Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. América-SC F.C.'s Gaston Roderigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save América-SC F.C. from getting a goal against them. Leonel Guedes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Guedes came free, but Frank Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Floresta Negra FC's zone, Luís Henrique stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Paraibano came out of the goal and Luís Henrique tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, José Paulo Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco van Persie hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After 85 played minutes América-SC F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Cleithon Ortiz. Frank Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Pitta in the 92nd minute of the match. Gaston Roderigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Carlos Hermes, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. América-SC F.C. had won after a very even match.
