Independência Futebol's Roger Arruda got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Dag Anderssen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ronaldinho Gaúcho. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Dag Anderssen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ronaldinho Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Dag Anderssen notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Independência Futebol's Ronaldinho Gaúcho. The wind increased when Cristian Oliveira made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Cristian Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independência Futebol's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronaldinho Gaúcho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A.D Leônico's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
