Desportivo Lucca MZ's Marcelinho Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Délio Araújo in the 22nd minute of play. Desportivo Lucca MZ's Marcelinho Cruz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Desportivo Lucca MZ from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Aesir FC FSCMZ's Rubens Ramalho got a free kick in the 26th minute. Hermínio Leite charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermínio Leite the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hermínio Leite hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Marcelinho Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Desportivo Lucca MZ's zone, Norberto Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelinho Cruz came out of the goal and Norberto Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jefferson Rodrigues scored 5-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelinho Cruz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jacinto Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duda Soeiro having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The supporters of Desportivo Lucca MZ booed when Aesir FC FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubens Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rdth minute of the game Sandro da Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aesir FC FSCMZ's Duda Soeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Desportivo Lucca MZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osmar Marinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0.
