Spectators: 144 (Terracing: 109, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dinei Toscano started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Independência Futebol's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Gaúcho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bater Palma. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when Independência Futebol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiquinho Vander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Independência Futebol's Ronaldinho Gaúcho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Independência Futebol from getting a goal against them. After having played for 7 minutes, Ye Xiang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CE LAJEADENSE RS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ye Xiang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 8 minutes, Luís de Sena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independência Futebol and the CE LAJEADENSE RS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th minute, Luís de Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, Independência Futebol's goal looked a bit too open when Bater Palma came free, but Ronaldinho Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute Bater Palma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldinho Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Udo Nigula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Gaúcho having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as CE LAJEADENSE RS's Bater Palma slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ronaldinho Gaúcho. That made the score 2-0 after 21 minutes of play. Ronaldinho Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ye Xiang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Independência Futebol defense, Leo Iigo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronaldinho Gaúcho. The Independência Futebol fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldinho Gaúcho should have stopped the shot. Ronaldinho Gaúcho was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Bater Palma capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bater Palma really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. Bater Palma in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ronaldinho Gaúcho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bater Palma who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Ronaldinho Gaúcho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 40th match minute, Independência Futebol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinei Toscano to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ye Xiang in the 42nd minute of play forced Independência Futebol's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 minutes of play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Bater Palma made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronaldinho Gaúcho was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bater Palma stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ronaldinho Gaúcho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bater Palma's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute, Leo Iigo made a precise shot to the right of Ronaldinho Gaúcho. Independência Futebol's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. 57 minutes into the match, Bater Palma notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Independência Futebol's Ronaldinho Gaúcho. Ronaldinho Gaúcho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 63rd minute, Ye Xiang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldinho Gaúcho was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. Bater Palma took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldinho Gaúcho. Ronaldinho Gaúcho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. 71 minutes into the game, Jhon Arias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 11-0. Ronaldinho Gaúcho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 76 minutes, Bater Palma made it 12-0 with a short kick to the right side. Independência Futebol's Ronaldinho Gaúcho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Renan da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. CE LAJEADENSE RS's supporters rose to their feet, but Renan da Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldinho Gaúcho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Bater Palma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronaldinho Gaúcho was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. 85 minutes into the match, Independência Futebol's goal looked a bit too open when Bater Palma came free, but Ronaldinho Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Leo Iigo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldinho Gaúcho was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-0. After 89 minutes of play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Leo Iigo made it 14-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronaldinho Gaúcho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ronaldinho Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Iigo in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute Bater Palma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldinho Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CE LAJEADENSE RS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
