In the 9th match minute, OFFLINE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís França to maneuver through the defense. Almir Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, RWD Molenbeek's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho Braga came free, but Almir Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Alberto Saraiva was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, OFFLINE's Carlos Alberto Saraiva got a free kick in the 21st minute. After recieving a nice pass, RWD Molenbeek's Vânderson Santana tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to RWD Molenbeek getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Tarcio De Paula hit a great ball. Luís Paulo Ortiz hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Marcelo Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Novaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, OFFLINE's Ronaldinho Braga got a free kick in the 34th minute. When Francisco Perez came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the RWD Molenbeek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Perez couldn't finish the play. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 76th minute, Francisco Perez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabinho Simão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Marcelo Branco made a huge save. Almir Diniz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genílson Dracena's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Luiz Fábio Schmidt hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The attack was good, but when Luís França in the 94th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Fabinho Simão charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabinho Simão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Erivaldo Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Luís Paulo Ortiz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Almir Diniz. RWD Molenbeek's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. OFFLINE were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
