Cactos's Deivid Rosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xande Cachorro in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Cactos's goal looked a bit too open when Xande Cachorro came free, but Deivid Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. São Paulo da Floresta's Ekrem İmamoğlu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Marco Carvalho in the 30 minute of the game. Deivid Rosa had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Maximiliano Pardo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 48th minute, Denver Volante made a precise shot to the right of Deivid Rosa. Cactos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronaldão Trevisan made a kick off. Cactos's Amauri Prestes suffered a sore thigh after 52 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 53rd match minute, São Paulo da Floresta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ekrem İmamoğlu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xande Cachorro in the 56th minute of play forced Cactos's goalkeeper Deivid Rosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deivid Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xande Cachorro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Ronaldão Trevisan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cactos's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldão Trevisan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Jacinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arlindo Freire's late challenge caught a São Paulo da Floresta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arlindo Freire helped the player get up and apologised. Arlindo Freire hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match.
