In the 5th minute, Werneck FC - DMZ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cordeara Igay fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Walmir Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Branco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cordeara Igay in the 9th minute. Marcel Passos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Joel Branco made a huge save. In the 21st minute, Mário Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilson Barreto in the 22nd minute of play forced Werneck FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Joel Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Zé Paulo Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Limoeiro-PE FC's Conrado Eger got a free kick in the 26th minute. Limoeiro-PE FC's Giga Hertz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruy Favoretto in the 27th minute of play. After 32 played minutes Célio Mineiro rounded Werneck FC - DMZ's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. After having played for 36 minutes, Breno Zonta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Werneck FC - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breno Zonta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Paulo Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Werneck FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Gilson Barreto came free, but Joel Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cordeara Igay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Branco having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cordeara Igay made a kick off. Werneck FC - DMZ's Rafael Loyola got a good chance for a goal in the 50th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Célio Mineiro got free in front of the goal in the 53rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Joel Branco was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 55th match minute, Limoeiro-PE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celsinho Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Werneck FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Fabiano Massa hit a great ball. Joel Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cordeara Igay in the 63rd minute of the match. Ruy Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joel Branco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilson Barreto went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Joel Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 92nd minute, Breno Zonta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Werneck FC - DMZ's Joel Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júnior Galego in the 94th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Limoeiro-PE FC had played much better football throughout.
