The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Niclas Ellhof showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caco Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Caco Corrêa sped through B-S-L's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Niclas Ellhof. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edvaldo Porto during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edvaldo Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the game, Edvaldo Porto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joel Branco. Edvaldo Porto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. B-S-L's Niclas Ellhof played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Freitas in the 17th minute of play. Joel Branco made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Michel Velloso sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st minute Breno Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niclas Ellhof saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Werneck FC - DMZ's Caco Corrêa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niclas Ellhof made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edvaldo Porto to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes B-S-L got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Salgado. 57 minutes into the game, Caco Corrêa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Niclas Ellhof. Caco Corrêa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Niclas Ellhof took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breno Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Branco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edvaldo Porto went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Werneck FC - DMZ defense, Alexandre Breckenfeld kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Branco. The Werneck FC - DMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Branco should have stopped the shot. B-S-L made a substitution. Carlinhos Sergipano replaced Alexandre Breckenfeld. 76 minutes into the match, Werneck FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Edvaldo Porto came free, but Joel Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Carlinhos Sergipano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joel Branco. Werneck FC - DMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlinhos Sergipano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-4. B-S-L made a substitution. Renatinho Cearense replaced Michel Velloso. Joel Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlinhos Sergipano in the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the game, Cido Goiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-4. Joel Branco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 90th minute, Edvaldo Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. B-S-L had won after a very even match.
