The audience thought a goal was coming when Xande Cachorro got free with Amauri Prestes in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Teodoro Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Teles, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Amauri Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Pardo in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Cactos's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Pardo came free, but Amauri Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amauri Prestes made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Denver Volante sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the match, Cactos's goalkeeper Amauri Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xande Cachorro. Amauri Prestes came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by São Paulo da Floresta's Xande Cachorro. But to his dismay, Xande Cachorro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0.

In the 51st minute, Xande Cachorro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The São Paulo da Floresta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After a rather tough play, São Paulo da Floresta's Denver Volante got a free kick in the 57th minute. With a little luck, São Paulo da Floresta's Teodoro Jacinto got control of the ball when Ricardinho Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cactos's zone, Xande Cachorro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amauri Prestes came out of the goal and Xande Cachorro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute there was a penalty for São Paulo da Floresta. Maximiliano Pardo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Amauri Prestes. 6-0. Amauri Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xande Cachorro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Cactos defense, Maximiliano Pardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amauri Prestes. The Cactos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amauri Prestes should have stopped the shot. Amauri Prestes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xande Cachorro went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. In the 90th minute Xande Cachorro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amauri Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabinho Simões hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.
