The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Andre Miranda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hílton Costa was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. The supporters of Xurupita FC booed when Jim MorrisoN F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iuri Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Xurupita FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Sebastião Barros hit a great ball. João Carlos Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Paraíba in the 18th minute of play. Ozzy Morrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Hílton Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Xurupita FC's zone, Cipriano da Mata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton Costa came out of the goal and Cipriano da Mata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the game, Ozzy Morrison was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jim MorrisoN F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xurupita FC the free kick. Ozzy Morrison kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andre Miranda in the 28th minute of play forced Xurupita FC's goalkeeper Hílton Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Eduardo Botelho hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Belmiro Paraíba dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of João Carlos Cosme, 1-0. Hílton Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andre Miranda in the 36th minute of play. Hílton Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andre Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 63 minutes Jim MorrisoN F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eurico Dante who took care of the corner kick. Ozzy Morrison got his second yellow card in the match during the 64th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Xurupita FC booed when Jim MorrisoN F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ozzy Morrison didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Andre Miranda recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hílton Costa. Andre Miranda showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. With 76 minutes on the clock, Iuri Alves commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 77th minute, Iuri Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vitório Toledo charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vitório Toledo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vitório Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. The Jim MorrisoN F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Carlos Cosme should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute Belmiro Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Xurupita FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Jim MorrisoN F.C. for much of the match.
