All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfredo Fernandes made a kick off. Eliseu Linhares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Percival Prestes made a huge save. Hílton Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Costa having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. REAL VASCO RIO had played much better football throughout.
