Alvi Verde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matías Carioca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademar Britto in the 27th minute of play forced Guarani Futebol Clube's goalkeeper José Augusto Mineiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 played minutes Matías Carioca rounded Alvi Verde's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-0. After 33 played minutes Alvi Verde got a freekick which was hit by César Linares. Daniel Cearense came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Guarani Futebol Clube's Adhemar Gaúcho. But to his dismay, Adhemar Gaúcho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adhemar Gaúcho got free with Daniel Cearense in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 48th minute, Lenílson do Nascimento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Augusto Mineiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adhemar Gaúcho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. José Augusto Mineiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ademar Britto in the 53rd minute. The audience was convinced that Matías Carioca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Cearense was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Matías Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Cearense having to interfere. Daniel Cearense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adhemar Gaúcho went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 8-1 was the resulting score. Daniel Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Carioca in the 84th minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, César Linares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alvi Verde's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guarani Futebol Clube the free kick. A collision led to Alvi Verde getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. César Linares hit a great ball. When Galindo España fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guarani Futebol Clube's protests and gave Galindo España a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th match minute, Guarani Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Galindo España to maneuver through the defense. When Ademar Britto came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Alvi Verde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademar Britto couldn't finish the play.
