Nestor Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Jean Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breno Ceresso's late challenge caught a SinháCity FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Breno Ceresso helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SinháCity FC booed when Red John S.K was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breno Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afonsinho Goiano made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Red John S.K's Leandro Soares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nico Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jean Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonsinho Goiano in the 66th minute of play. With a little luck, Red John S.K's Jean Donato got control of the ball when Nestor Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th minute Inácio de Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SinháCity FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Guto Chaves hit a great ball. The SinháCity FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SinháCity FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
