In the 9th minute, Billy Dowdall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Bandelocos's Aloísio Guimarães threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Valdir Garcia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Red Bull Magnus's Aloísio Guimarães got control of the ball when Daniel Brasil tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 19 minutes, Billy Dowdall mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bandelocos and the Red Bull Magnus players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bandelocos booed when Red Bull Magnus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Pontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Red Bull Magnus defense, Daniel Brasil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aloísio Guimarães. The Red Bull Magnus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aloísio Guimarães should have stopped the shot. Valdir Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Billy Dowdall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bandelocos's Anísio Teixeira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 46th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Red Bull Magnus. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maurinho Rosado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valdir Garcia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aloísio Guimarães having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Billy Dowdall's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aloísio Guimarães was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 58th match minute, Red Bull Magnus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléber Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. The Bandelocos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. 85 minutes into the match, Red Bull Magnus's goal looked a bit too open when Valdir Garcia came free, but Aloísio Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's Valdir Garcia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aloísio Guimarães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Luís Gustavo Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Billy Dowdall came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Bandelocos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Billy Dowdall couldn't finish the play.
