João Francisco Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl-Erik Magnusson went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Guarei FC's João Francisco Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Quirino in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of Guarei FC booed when C.A Gryffindor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Mangueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 43 minutes, Jacinto Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A Gryffindor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Jacinto Quirino notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Guarei FC's João Francisco Costa. João Francisco Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half C.A Gryffindor were leading 0-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elói Prado to make the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Jacinto Quirino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guarei FC's João Francisco Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jacinto Quirino struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. João Francisco Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A Gryffindor. João Francisco Costa didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when C.A Gryffindor's Jacinto Quirino shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-11 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Mazer in the 75th minute of play forced Guarei FC's goalkeeper João Francisco Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
