Romeu Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sydney Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sydney Gonçalves in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeu Souto saved Corinthians from getting behind. In the 11th play minute Edmílson Matorin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Laércio Sá. 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Fernandinho Urbano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Laércio Sá, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Urbano in the 19th minute of play forced Psiu!'s goalkeeper Laércio Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Sydney Gonçalves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Romeu Souto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 29th minute, Raúl Nascimento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Psiu! fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. After having played for 36 minutes, Emílio Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corinthians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emílio Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sydney Gonçalves was the one to do the kick off. Edmílson Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmílson Matorin struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Laércio Sá didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corinthians. In the 62nd minute of the match 曲明强 sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romeu Souto skillfully saved the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Psiu!'s goal looked a bit too open when Fernandinho Urbano came free, but Laércio Sá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Edmílson Matorin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Laércio Sá was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vladimir Soares's late challenge caught a Psiu!'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimir Soares helped the player get up and apologised. Mané Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Romeu Souto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Gonçalves in the 78th minute of the match. Corinthians's Romeu Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Gonçalves in the 82nd minute of play. Cafu Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Sydney Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Laércio Sá didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernandinho Urbano went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-3 was the resulting score. Psiu!'s supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Corinthians had won, even though Psiu! had held more of the ball.
