Flávio Toledo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Glauco Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duarte Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patrick Cerezo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Glauco Soeiro made a huge save. 14 minutes into the game, João Pedro Goiano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elite™- FC Galácticos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ the free kick. After 14 played minutes Elite™- FC Galácticos got a freekick which was hit by João Pedro Goiano. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavinho Queiroz got free with Glauco Soeiro in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 19 minutes of play, Elite™- FC Galácticos's Mateus Paraibano made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Fontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 23 played minutes Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ got a freekick which was hit by Flávio Toledo. In the 24th minute of the match Nicolas Mendes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Fontes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 29th minute, Patrick Cerezo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With a little luck, Elite™- FC Galácticos's Glauco Soeiro got control of the ball when Flavinho Queiroz tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Glauco Soeiro managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Patrick Cerezo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 41 played minutes Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Costa. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelinho Ferreira during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elite™- FC Galácticos made a substitution. Eurico Arósio replaced João Pedro Xavier. Marcelinho Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see Elite™- FC Galácticos's Fred Simões in action when he in the 45th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 48 minutes into the match, Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's goal looked a bit too open when João Pedro Goiano came free, but Fernando Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Mateus Paraibano got free with Fernando Fontes in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ defense, Amílton Reis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Fontes. The Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Fontes should have stopped the shot. When Flavinho Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavinho Queiroz couldn't finish the play. Glauco Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Elite™- FC Galácticos's Glauco Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Cerezo in the 69th minute of play. Mateus Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Patrick Cerezo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Glauco Soeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
