Wang Quan Yuan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, SE Palestra Itália's Miguel Santana got a free kick in the 9th minute. Paulão Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fernando Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. A collision led to SE Palestra Itália getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Fabiano Velloso hit a great ball. Dinei Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the game, Wang Quan Yuan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ernesto de Godoi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ernesto de Godoi was a little too slow when Miguel Santana got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Velloso in the 33rd minute of play forced Cachaça FC's goalkeeper Ernesto de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Cachaça FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Luís Fernando Vaz hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Dinei Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 minutes of play Cachaça FC's Dinei Sergipano was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 42nd match minute, Cachaça FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinei Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. Ernesto de Godoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wang Quan Yuan's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the game, Miguel Santana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SE Palestra Itália's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachaça FC the free kick. The supporters of Cachaça FC booed when SE Palestra Itália was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Santana didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Wang Quan Yuan made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, SE Palestra Itália's Fabiano Velloso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernesto de Godoi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Jefferson de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Fabiano Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. SE Palestra Itália's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabiano Velloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto de Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Cachaça FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Osvaldo Nascimento hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cachaça FC's zone, Wang Quan Yuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto de Godoi came out of the goal and Wang Quan Yuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Cachaça FC's Osvaldo Nascimento got a free kick in the 75th minute. Marcelinho Amorim, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Paulão Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisão Pimenta, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 93rd minute, Fabiano Velloso made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto de Godoi. Cachaça FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SE Palestra Itália fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cachaça FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
