The wind increased when Matheus Paraíba made the kick off in the second half. When Miguel Santana fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SE Palestra Itália's protests and gave Miguel Santana a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SE Palestra Itália getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Vascogoianiense FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
