The coaching staff of Real Cruzeiro FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Falcão Mendes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When Jerônimo Luz came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Fúria Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerônimo Luz couldn't finish the play. Vladimir Corrêa made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Luís Guilherme Cabral sent off a good shot on target. 18 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jerônimo Luz came free, but Ivo Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sandrinho Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ivo Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Guilherme Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Guilherme Cabral in the 25th minute of play forced Fúria Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Vladimir Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivo Amaral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sandrinho Vidal went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Sandrinho Vidal scored 0-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivo Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Júnior Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivo Amaral came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Fúria Futebol Clube's Sandrinho Vidal. But to his dismay, Sandrinho Vidal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Fabinho Hermes kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The wind increased when Luís Guilherme Cabral made the kick off in the second half. Luís Guilherme Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Corrêa having to interfere. Júnior Salles's late challenge caught a Fúria Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júnior Salles helped the player get up and apologised. Ronaldo Vianna charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldo Vianna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ronaldo Vianna hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Fúria Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Cruzeiro FC the free kick. In the 67th minute, Fúria Futebol Clube's Sandrinho Vidal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ivo Amaral. Ivo Amaral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. In the 73rd match minute, Fúria Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Brasil to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the match, Fúria Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Salles came free, but Vladimir Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Real Cruzeiro FC's Ivo Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandrinho Vidal in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandrinho Vidal in the 89th minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Ivo Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Real Cruzeiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Pontes to maneuver through the defense. Dorian Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo Amaral having to interfere.
