In the 6th minute of the match Catugi FC got a corner. Dal 3ello's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tiaguinho Fernandez ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Catugi FC's corner Tiaguinho Fernandez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dida Amorim quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nando de Alcântara got free with Dida Amorim in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 15 played minutes, Catugi FC's Aílton Domingues shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dida Amorim came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Catugi FC reached it. When Jacinto Carioca fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dal 3ello's protests and gave Jacinto Carioca a yellow card for diving instead. Jacinto Carioca hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Dudu Borges who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Dida Amorim when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, Dal 3ello's goalkeeper Dida Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reginaldo Veiga. After a rather tough play, Dal 3ello's Didi Dionísio got a free kick in the 27th minute. The long shot by Tiaguinho Fernandez in the 28th minute really tested Dida Amorim's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Catugi FC booed when Dal 3ello was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mala Dal Bello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dida Amorim made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Nando de Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Catugi FC's Nando de Alcântara slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dida Amorim. That made the score 1-0 after 36 minutes of play. 40 minutes into the match, Dal 3ello's goal looked a bit too open when Dudu Borges came free, but Dida Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dida Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reginaldo Veiga in the 44th minute. Dida Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dan Dal Bello to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Borges in the 57th minute of play forced Dal 3ello's goalkeeper Dida Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the game, Catugi FC's Reginaldo Veiga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dida Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Dudu Borges struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Dida Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catugi FC. 71 minutes into the match, Didi Dionísio notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Catugi FC's Folke Österlund. Folke Österlund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luiz Fernando Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Osama Dal Bello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Folke Österlund was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Luan Dal Bello capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luan Dal Bello really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. 81 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luan Dal Bello came free, but Folke Österlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Didi Dionísio could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Folke Österlund however easily saved by the left post. Folke Österlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luan Dal Bello in the 89th minute of the match. Folke Österlund was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luan Dal Bello showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 91 minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Luan Dal Bello notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Catugi FC's Folke Österlund. Folke Österlund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dal 3ello's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
