Almir Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Laerte Meireles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dráusio Pirani in the 81st minute. In the 82nd match minute, America FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Guilherme Donatello's late challenge caught a Master Champion BMX Flat's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of Master Champion BMX Flat booed when America FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. When Erik Furlan fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored America FC's protests and gave Erik Furlan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, America FC's Erik Furlan got a free kick in the 88th minute. Laércio Cabral hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
