Augusto Penha hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Anestis Kakalis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. AVAÍ F.C.'s Marcos Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anestis Kakalis in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Marcos Catarinense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Virgílio Passos hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Marcos Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernani Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anestis Kakalis in the 32nd minute of play forced AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Marcos Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, New Loser FC's Eliseu Negri got control of the ball when Gabriel Poveda tried to sneak it across the goal line. New Loser FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AVAÍ F.C. the free kick. The supporters of AVAÍ F.C. booed when New Loser FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anestis Kakalis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Eliseu Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Penha in the 54th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Mateus Alves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliseu Negri was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Eliseu Negri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Penha's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. AVAÍ F.C. made a substitution. In the 65th match minute, New Loser FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luan de Castro to maneuver through the defense. New Loser FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sydney Silva hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute Mateus Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseu Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, New Loser FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Penha came free, but Eliseu Negri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
