After 14 minutes of play Curiphila Eagles's Breno Simões was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Elder Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Gerber in the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Nelsinho Bastos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Curiphila Eagles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After a rather tough play, Curiphila Eagles's Téo Vianna got a free kick in the 25th minute. Elder Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelsinho Bastos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Curiphila Eagles's Nelsinho Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Washington Meira hit a great ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sidnei Teixeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Sidnei Teixeira got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nelsinho Bastos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Douglas Gerber's late challenge caught a Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Douglas Gerber helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- booed when Curiphila Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dedê de Moraes in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Murilo Paiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Téo Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 64 minutes on the clock, Nico Cunha commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Murilo Paiva had in the 67thth minute some difficulties stopping Gil Hoffmann's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 70 minutes of play, Curiphila Eagles's Douglas Gerber made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elder Lago was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hudson Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Elder Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Geovanni Botelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 83 minutes, Téo Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curiphila Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Téo Vianna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oséias Arósio during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Téo Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Elder Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Curiphila Eagles left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-.
