After 13 played minutes Zemantauskas FC got a freekick which was hit by Davi Mello. The long shot by Aírton Maciel in the 13th minute really tested Sílvio Penha's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 14th minute, Serginho Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Zemantauskas FC's Davi Mello sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Medeiros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alex Berger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Medeiros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Davi Mello was the one to do the kick off. Davi Mello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Gabriel Medeiros made a huge save. After 55 minutes VARGINHA FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Miguel Negri who took care of the corner kick. Gabriel Medeiros came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Zemantauskas FC's Davi Mello. But to his dismay, Davi Mello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Gabriel Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 68 minutes in the game, Remo Varela fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gabriel Medeiros having to interfere. Arlindo Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 73 played minutes VARGINHA FC got a freekick which was hit by Arlindo Bastos. In the 74th minute of the match Miguel Negri shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabriel Medeiros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Remo Varela had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabriel Medeiros. VARGINHA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remo Varela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Davi Mello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Medeiros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Berger in the 86th minute of play forced VARGINHA FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zemantauskas FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Miguel Negri in the 87th minute. Miguel Negri made a great header on Zemantauskas FC's corner, it was just that VARGINHA FC's Gabriel Medeiros managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Zemantauskas FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
