Mauro Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Penha having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FÊNIX F.C.'s Conrado Zonta got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17thth minute of the game Davi Mello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FÊNIX F.C.'s Alfredo Paraibano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Davi Mello in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Paraibano saved FÊNIX F.C. from getting behind. Alfredo Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davi Mello in the 20th minute of play. When Zemantauskas FC's Davi Mello in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FÊNIX F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Sílvio Penha was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Régis Azevedo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bengt Bouchard to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davi Mello in the 51st minute of play forced FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Alfredo Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernani Sousa made in the 54th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FÊNIX F.C.'s Carlos Fernando Lima. Zemantauskas FC's Sílvio Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Bouchard in the 65th minute of play. After 67 minutes, Renato Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zemantauskas FC and the FÊNIX F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Zemantauskas FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Renato Nascimento hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Zemantauskas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iuri Siqueira came free, but Sílvio Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iuri Siqueira in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sílvio Penha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zemantauskas FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bengt Bouchard was slow to take the kick. During this time FÊNIX F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner led FÊNIX F.C.'s Bengt Bouchard to fire away a dangerous shot which Sílvio Penha despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Zemantauskas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iuri Siqueira came free, but Sílvio Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Paraibano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Davi Mello's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Alfredo Paraibano made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Remo Varela sent off a good shot on target. FÊNIX F.C.'s attentive Gilberto Leite managed to snatch the ball when Renato Nascimento made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. With a little luck, FÊNIX F.C.'s Alfredo Paraibano got control of the ball when Davi Mello tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of FÊNIX F.C. booed when Zemantauskas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdir Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. FÊNIX F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
