After a defensive mix-up in Goiás Esporte Clube's zone, Adriano Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mané Quirino came out of the goal and Adriano Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belotaurus FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Brasil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christian Carioca scored 1-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Brasil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Adriano Neves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mané Quirino. That made the score 1-1 in the 63 minute of play. In the 66th minute, Nilmar Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgard Cabral might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustavo Brasil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osmar de Moraes charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osmar de Moraes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Goiás Esporte Clube's Osmar de Moraes got a free kick in the 91st minute. Mané Quirino was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gino Lopez. Edgard Cabral might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustavo Brasil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgard Cabral ran back to his position shaking his head. Osmar de Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Brasil having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
