Galera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão de Moraes to maneuver through the defense. In the last second Rubinho Couto throw himself and got hold of the ball when André Maranhense in the 13thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Leões do Sul 53's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vitório Araújo was slow to take the kick. During this time E.C. Galera's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on E.C. Galera's corner Vitório Araújo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rubinho Couto quite easily take care of the ball. In the 15th match minute, E.C. Galera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlinhos de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th match minute, Leões do Sul 53 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgílio Sanches to maneuver through the defense. The corner ended in Virgílio Sanches almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but E.C. Galera's Olavo de Medeiros did a great save. After a rather tough play, E.C. Galera's Tião Pernambucano got a free kick in the 31st minute. Olavo de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Deivid de Sousa hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Júlio Nascimento notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Leões do Sul 53's Rubinho Couto. Rubinho Couto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joaquim Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo de Medeiros having to interfere. Olavo de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Sanches in the 46th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's goalkeeper Rubinho Couto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Júlio Nascimento.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Júlio Nascimento to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Maranhense in the 53rd minute of play forced Leões do Sul 53's goalkeeper Rubinho Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Vides charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Vides the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. David Vides hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. When Júlio Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the E.C. Galera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Nascimento couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Nascimento in the 55th minute of play forced Leões do Sul 53's goalkeeper Rubinho Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's goal looked a bit too open when André Maranhense came free, but Rubinho Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Leões do Sul 53 getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Joaquim Pernambucano hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Leões do Sul 53's David Vides got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 73rd minute, Mário Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Nascimento came free, but Rubinho Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubinho Couto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Júlio Nascimento went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 79th minute Júlio Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubinho Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 84 minutes into the game, E.C. Galera's Júlio Nascimento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rubinho Couto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Virgílio Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Rubinho Couto came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by E.C. Galera's Júlio Nascimento. But to his dismay, Júlio Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. When the referee blew the final whistle, E.C. Galera could leave the field as winners, despite Leões do Sul 53 having more of the ball for most of the match.
