Jonathan Zanette made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. João Adolfo de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Wilian Gulak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Zanette. Grêmio 20 Julho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilian Gulak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 38thth minute of the game Valdemar de Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Agro Imortal's Fernando Courtois was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Gualter Albuquerque fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio 20 Julho's protests and gave Gualter Albuquerque a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Agro Imortal booed when Grêmio 20 Julho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 played minutes, Agro Imortal's Hector Sarmiento shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Zanette came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Agro Imortal reached it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valdemar de Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oswaldo Bueno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Jonathan Zanette made a huge save. In the 55th minute Téo Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grêmio 20 Julho's Jonathan Zanette proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio 20 Julho from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Zanette came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Agro Imortal's Wilian Gulak. But to his dismay, Wilian Gulak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Agro Imortal made a substitution. Dennis Bergkamp replaced Wilian Gulak. In the 67th minute Dennis Bergkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Zanette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute Valdemar de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Pires in the 72nd minute of the match. Claudinho Toscano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Courtois read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Claudinho Toscano charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudinho Toscano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Agro Imortal's Vitinho Peixoto suffered a sore thigh after 77 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Emerson de Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio 20 Julho's protests and gave Emerson de Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Agro Imortal booed when Grêmio 20 Julho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th match minute, Grêmio 20 Julho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Adolfo de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Arlindo Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
