Spectators: 156 (Terracing: 117, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Júlio Nascimento made the kick off and thus started the match. Virgílio Sanches came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by E.C. Galera's Júlio Nascimento. But to his dismay, Júlio Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When E.C. Galera's Júlio Nascimento in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leões do Sul 53's goalie prevented a goal. Júlio Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Virgílio Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Horácio Favoretto took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Olavo de Medeiros to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of E.C. Galera booed when Leões do Sul 53 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egídio Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Virgílio Lago in the 27th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Virgílio Sanches's left hand side. After 30 played minutes Leões do Sul 53 got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Sena. Júlio Nascimento took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgílio Sanches. Virgílio Sanches dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After a rather tough play, E.C. Galera's Tarcisio Botelho got a free kick in the 34th minute. Olavo de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elivélton Sarmento in the 35th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Leões do Sul 53's Olavo de Medeiros threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Elivélton Sarmento, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Júlio Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Virgílio Sanches didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for E.C. Galera. Júlio Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Horácio Favoretto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Olavo de Medeiros made a huge save. Virgílio Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute, Elivélton Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

E.C. Galera's Vitório Araújo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dorian Marquez in the 59 minute of the game. 61 minutes into the match, Horácio Favoretto notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of E.C. Galera's Olavo de Medeiros. Olavo de Medeiros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leões do Sul 53's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sidney Vaz 70 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-4. Júlio Nascimento let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 73rd minute shot 3-5 at rihgt post. Horácio Favoretto scored 4-5 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olavo de Medeiros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Paulo Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Olavo de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Júlio Nascimento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgílio Sanches was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-6. When the final whistle sounded E.C. Galera left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Leões do Sul 53.
