The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cleiton Rezende during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to E. C. Uruguaiana getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Cleiton Rezende hit a great ball. In the 5th minute, TAQUARI FC's Luís Paulo França ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rafael Antunes. Rafael Antunes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Valdir Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the game, Luís Paulo França recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rafael Antunes. Luís Paulo França showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Rafael Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Paulo França, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Luís Paulo França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rafael Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Paulo França in the 29th minute of the match. After some careless play in the E. C. Uruguaiana defense, Luís Paulo França kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafael Antunes. The E. C. TAQUARI FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave E. C. Uruguaiana the free kick. Sebastião Vander hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Gaxan Vallejoller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rafael Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waldir Tróia to make the kick off. If Valdir Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rafael Antunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Paulo França's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, Luís Paulo França had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rafael Antunes. E. C. Uruguaiana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Paulo França was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Rafael Antunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Paulo França went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. In the 89thth minute of the game Luís Paulo França who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but E. C. Uruguaiana's Rafael Antunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rafael Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Paulo França in the 91st minute of play. Josué Brito hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The long shot by Giovanni Paraense in the 95th minute really tested Sílvio Zonta's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. TAQUARI FC had played much better football throughout.
