Spectators: 148 (Terracing: 112, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 2) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Waldir Tróia kicked off to start the match. If André Luís de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 4 minutes on the clock, Valdemar Mazza commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Valdemar Mazza hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Fernandinho Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barra EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernandinho Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caio Mesquita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Caio Mesquita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Luiz Souto in the 14th minute. Caio Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Caio Mesquita came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Barra EC's Pedro Luiz Souto. But to his dismay, Pedro Luiz Souto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 23 minutes into the game, Edinho Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barra EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave E. C. Uruguaiana the free kick. After 24 played minutes Barra EC got a freekick which was hit by Edinho Carvalho. After having played for 26 minutes, Eriberto Siqueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E. C. Uruguaiana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eriberto Siqueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caio Mesquita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luiz Souto's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Ricardo Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caio Mesquita having to interfere. Caio Mesquita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Luiz Souto in the 37th minute. The supporters of Barra EC booed when E. C. Uruguaiana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Washington Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, E. C. Uruguaiana's goal looked a bit too open when Dito Vander came free, but Caio Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rômulo Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldir Tróia in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 played minutes E. C. Uruguaiana got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Bezerra. After recieving a nice pass, Barra EC's Fernandinho Alves tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Caio Mesquita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Luiz Souto in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Pedro Luiz Souto made the kick off in the second half. Dito Vander struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Caio Mesquita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barra EC. In the 57th minute, Pedro Luiz Souto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 61 minutes into the game, Barra EC's Pedro Luiz Souto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caio Mesquita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Barra EC's Rômulo Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Tróia in the 68th minute of play. Caio Mesquita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Luís de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the game, Dito Vander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Caio Mesquita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. E. C. Uruguaiana's Caio Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Vander in the 84th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Waldir Tróia notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Barra EC's Rômulo Camargo. Rômulo Camargo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 92 played minutes E. C. Uruguaiana got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Siqueira. Rômulo Camargo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. E. C. Uruguaiana's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
