MAGNIFICOS.FC's Dorival Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik de Lima in the 31st minute of play. Flavinho Bastos hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Waldemar Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Luizinho Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eusébio Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell César Rocha to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Sumaré Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Kaká Camargo hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Sumaré Sport Club's Samuel Pinheiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dorival Moura. That made the score 0-1 after 59 minutes of play. In the 64th match minute, Sumaré Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaká Camargo to maneuver through the defense. Erik de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd match minute, MAGNIFICOS.FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilton Berger to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, MAGNIFICOS.FC's Nilton Berger got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute, César Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Waldemar Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sumaré Sport Club's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
