With a left leg Júlio Linares saved Xiboquinha FC from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Gabriel Damião came free, but Júlio Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Xiboquinha FC defense, Tiago Gabriel Damião kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Júlio Linares. The Xiboquinha FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio Linares should have stopped the shot. Xiboquinha FC's Júlio Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Salles in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Jacob Preuss left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Xiboquinha FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 34 minutes into the match, Facopo FBPA's goalkeeper Enio Trigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ravi Ninho. In the 35th of the match, Guto Tasso tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Enio Trigo got in the way and made a wonderful save. Xiboquinha FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sílvio Favoretto in the 37th minute. The corner ended in Sílvio Favoretto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Facopo FBPA's Enio Trigo did a great save. Guto Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Enio Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Evaristo Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 47 played minutes Xiboquinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Pinheiro. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evaristo Salles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Enio Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guto Tasso in the 54th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Cleiton Cordeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enio Trigo. Facopo FBPA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cleiton Cordeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Enio Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleiton Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raimundo Diniz hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Jacob Preuss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Enio Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Facopo FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Preuss came free, but Enio Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Facopo FBPA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Xiboquinha FC's Jacob Preuss got a free kick in the 78th minute. Jacob Preuss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Enio Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 83 minutes, Silvinho de Lima mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Facopo FBPA and the Xiboquinha FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Xiboquinha FC booed when Facopo FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvinho de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Frédson Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Facopo FBPA getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Raimundo Diniz hit a great ball. Facopo FBPA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
