Zé Peres shot from long distance in the 22nd minute, but Edvaldo Brasil was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Afonsinho Aguiar's late challenge caught a Grêmio Prudente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edvaldo Brasil came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio Prudente's Valdemar Valle. But to his dismay, Valdemar Valle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After 45 played minutes λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Trancoso. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Grêmio Prudente had played much better football throughout.
