Luiz Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Furlan in the 6th minute of play. Sport Club Cevada's Charles Mota was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 12th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The supporters of FC BARCELONA booed when Sport Club Cevada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Quintal in the 18th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chico Lucas during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC BARCELONA booed when Sport Club Cevada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chico Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to FC BARCELONA getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Válter Peixoto hit a great ball. Luiz Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Furlan in the 27th minute of the match. Sport Club Cevada's Charles Mota got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yan Vianna hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute Enrique Furlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Nicolas Quintal made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to FC BARCELONA getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Joélson de Carvalho hit a great ball. Sport Club Cevada's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nicolas Quintal 54 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Quintal in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Fantini saved Sport Club Cevada from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as FC BARCELONA's Enrique Furlan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luiz Fantini. That made the score 1-4 after 71 minutes of play. Luiz Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Quintal in the 74th minute of play. Enrique Furlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fantini having to interfere. Enrique Furlan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luiz Fantini firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 95 played minutes FC BARCELONA got a freekick which was hit by Silvério Vale. FC BARCELONA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
