Gabriel Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Peres in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute, Dênis Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Izaltina FAD's Roberto Paulista tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Gabriel Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinei Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute of the match Izaltina FAD got a corner. Matanza and Steelers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roberto Paulista ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Edorta Quintas managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Bernardinho de Senna hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Charles Guerra's late challenge caught a Izaltina FAD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charles Guerra helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Matanza and Steelers fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! Gabriel Paiva had in the 15thth minute some difficulties stopping Roberto Paulista's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 15th minute, Roberto Paulista made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Paiva. Matanza and Steelers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience was convinced that Dinei Peres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Paiva was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Gino de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 26th minute, Dinei Peres made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Paiva. Matanza and Steelers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Gabriel Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho de Senna in the 30th minute of play. When Izaltina FAD's Denílson Faria in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Matanza and Steelers's goalie prevented a goal. Gabriel Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gino de Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 44th match minute, Matanza and Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Senad Or to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edorta Quintas in the 45th minute of the match. Rony de Medeiros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Indiana Jones in the 46th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Denílson Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Izaltina FAD's supporters rose to their feet, but Denílson Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dinei Peres made a kick off. Izaltina FAD's Dinei Peres was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 54th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Edorta Quintas struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Gabriel Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Izaltina FAD. Izaltina FAD made a substitution. Jaime Cabral replaced Ricardinho Arantes. 60 minutes into the game, Oswaldo Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matanza and Steelers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Izaltina FAD the free kick. A collision led to Matanza and Steelers getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Oswaldo Neves hit a great ball. Gabriel Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinei Peres, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Edorta Quintas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabriel Paiva. Matanza and Steelers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edorta Quintas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Edorta Quintas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Izaltina FAD's supporters rose to their feet, but Edorta Quintas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 84 minutes, Dinei Peres made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. Matanza and Steelers's Gabriel Paiva tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Edorta Quintas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Gabriel Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Ronaldão Baiano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Izaltina FAD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matanza and Steelers the free kick. Ronaldão Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Gabriel Paiva came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Izaltina FAD's Dinei Peres. But to his dismay, Dinei Peres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8.
