The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Gino de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Paiva was a little too slow when Dinei Peres got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 9 minutes, Dênis Pereira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Matanza and Steelers and the Izaltina FAD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Matanza and Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dênis Pereira to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Paiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edorta Quintas in the 17th minute. Senad Or fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony de Medeiros having to interfere. Izaltina FAD's Rony de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Indiana Jones in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Izaltina FAD booed when Matanza and Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Denílson Faria came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Izaltina FAD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denílson Faria couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Gino de Lima took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Gabriel Paiva to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Izaltina FAD getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Denílson Faria hit a great ball. Edorta Quintas came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gabriel Paiva could save by the left post. After 41 minutes Matanza and Steelers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roberto Paulista who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Izaltina FAD's corner Roberto Paulista fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gabriel Paiva quite easily take care of the ball. Senad Or hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Izaltina FAD's Otávio Pinheiro got a free kick in the 44th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dinei Peres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Izaltina FAD's Dinei Peres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabriel Paiva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Gabriel Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gino de Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 55th play minutes Edorta Quintas shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Gabriel Paiva and just under the crossbar into goal. Matanza and Steelers's Senad Or suffered a sore foot after 65 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Bernardo Correia fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Izaltina FAD's protests and gave Bernardo Correia a yellow card for diving instead. Matanza and Steelers's Genílson Lucas was substituted for Senad Or. The supporters of Matanza and Steelers booed when Izaltina FAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Dinei Peres made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Paiva. Matanza and Steelers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Matanza and Steelers's Gabriel Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino de Lima in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edorta Quintas in the 76th minute of play forced Matanza and Steelers's goalkeeper Gabriel Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Edorta Quintas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Gabriel Paiva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Matanza and Steelers's Gabriel Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinei Peres in the 82nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 11-0 when Dinei Peres sped through Matanza and Steelers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gabriel Paiva. Gabriel Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edorta Quintas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charles Guerra charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charles Guerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gabriel Paiva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edorta Quintas's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. When the referee ended the match the Izaltina FAD players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
