When Magno Rosado fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ARON FC's protests and gave Magno Rosado a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Flying Dutch booed when ARON FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Rosado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Victor de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 played minutes Flying Dutch got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Camargo. The Flying Dutch fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Flying Dutch's Niceto Xacintu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Flying Dutch getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Fabian Ivașcu hit a great ball. Waldir dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Niceto Xacintu made a precise shot to the right of Waldir dos Santos. ARON FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 39 minutes into the game, Niceto Xacintu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Waldir dos Santos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ARON FC's Waldir dos Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save ARON FC from getting a goal against them. Niceto Xacintu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Waldir dos Santos made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Saraiva to make the kick off.
