Unidade Pinto Louco's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Caco Massa scored to the left of an out of position Dalmo Félix, making the score, 1-0. When Cléberson Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Błαck Bułłs MZ's protests and gave Cléberson Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Unidade Pinto Louco booed when Błαck Bułłs MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléberson Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Leme in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Leme in the 30th minute of play forced Błαck Bułłs MZ's goalkeeper Augusto Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Błαck Bułłs MZ's Augusto Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Fontes in the 33rd minute of play. Natanael Rossi's late challenge caught a Błαck Bułłs MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgard Leme stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Błαck Bułłs MZ's Francisco Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Błαck Bułłs MZ:s Augusto Pereira showed great skill when he stopped Emanuel Dionísio:s penalty. After a rather tough play, Błαck Bułłs MZ's Agnaldo Vinhas got a free kick in the 71st minute. Augusto Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Donato in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Unidade Pinto Louco's Jacinto Pinto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adelino Rossi during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
