A collision led to Unidade Pinto Louco getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Acácio Domingues hit a great ball. In the 41st match minute, Unidade Pinto Louco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. Oséas Vander received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dalmo Félix came out and tried to block the shot, but Oséas Vander slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 45th minute.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente de Lara in the 63rd minute of play forced Unidade Pinto Louco's goalkeeper Dalmo Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 63rd minute of the match Evaristo Recife completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. Unidade Pinto Louco's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
