Aírton de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nildo Rezende in the 5th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Bene Animatus's goal looked a bit too open when Ademir Brasil came free, but Valdemar de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dieguinho Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Evaristo Recife hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Aírton de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelsinho Salgado in the 27th minute of play. Aírton de Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nildo Rezende went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Oséas Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 44 minutes, Oséas Vander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Icoara Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oséas Vander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Bene Animatus's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Oséas Vander fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clemente de Lara made a kick off. Evaristo Recife kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 55 minutes into the game, Icoara Football Club's Clemente de Lara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdemar de Moraes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséas Vander in the 59th minute of play forced Bene Animatus's goalkeeper Valdemar de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 played minutes Bene Animatus got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Matorin. Valdemar de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enéas Baptista in the 64th minute of the match. 68 minutes in the game, Ulisses Damião fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Aírton de Amorim having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Afonso Romero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Icoara Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bene Animatus the free kick. Bene Animatus's João Paulo Campidelis was substituted for Nildo Rezende. After a rather tough play, Icoara Football Club's Afonso Romero got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as João Paulo Campidelis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aírton de Amorim. That made the score 1-2 in the 78 minute of play. In the 82ndth minute of the game João Paulo Campidelis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Icoara Football Club's Aírton de Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Bene Animatus defense, Clemente de Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdemar de Moraes. The Bene Animatus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdemar de Moraes should have stopped the shot. Bene Animatus's Valdemar de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oséas Vander in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Ulisses Damião reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aírton de Amorim. The goal made the score 2-3. When the final whistle sounded Bene Animatus left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Icoara Football Club.
