Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Deilmison Robben in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Genílson Gaspar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of GLADIADORES booed when Sipo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válbson Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir Arósio in the 26th minute of play forced GLADIADORES's goalkeeper Claudinei Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Válbson Souza fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Claudinei Leite, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to Sipo EC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Dráusio Costa hit a great ball. Deilmison Robben recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. GLADIADORES's Claudinei Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Décio Messias in the 40th minute of play. When Nicklas Sjöström fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GLADIADORES's protests and gave Nicklas Sjöström a yellow card for diving instead. Claudinei Leite made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Décio Messias sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdir Arósio made a kick off. Valdir Arósio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudinei Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Décio Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. When Tiago Gabriel Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the GLADIADORES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Gabriel Tasso couldn't finish the play. After 61 played minutes Sipo EC got a freekick which was hit by Américo Marinho. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cesinha Brasil got free with Genílson Gaspar in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Claudinei Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Décio Messias in the 66th minute of the match. Sipo EC's Américo Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Cesinha Brasil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Valdir Arósio notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of GLADIADORES's Claudinei Leite. Claudinei Leite was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 78th minute, Valdir Arósio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Sipo EC's goal looked a bit too open when Deilmison Robben came free, but Genílson Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinei Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdir Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 84 played minutes GLADIADORES got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Gabriel Tasso. Claudinei Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdir Arósio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Américo Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sipo EC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
