When Marco Salles fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored São Paulo Leste F.C.'s protests and gave Marco Salles a yellow card for diving instead. Marco Salles hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Carlos Arantes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cacá Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Ronaldo Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. IGUIPORÃ FC's Kaká Sergipano was substituted for Antônio Carlos Soares. 74 minutes into the match, IGUIPORÃ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Borges came free, but Alfredo Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Salles made in the 98th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Frédson Fernandez immediately put the ball in play. IGUIPORÃ FC played a much better game than São Paulo Leste F.C. and deserved their victory. The São Paulo Leste F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
