The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute Ulisses Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dieguinho Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Brodel scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomás Vides, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thomás Vides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Brodel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nando Abraão charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nando Abraão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Jereba 4EVER getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Dudu Pimenta hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Brodel came free, but Thomás Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Jereba 4EVER's Zé Paulo Castro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thomás Vides made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 34 minutes into the match, Zé Paulo Castro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomás Vides. AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Paulo Castro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Abelardo Brodel scored 0-4 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomás Vides, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ronaldinho Magalhães hit a great ball. After 40 played minutes, Jereba 4EVER's Zé Paulo Castro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thomás Vides came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jereba 4EVER reached it. Dieguinho Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Paulo Castro to make the kick off. Thomás Vides made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Zé Paulo Castro sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Zé Paulo Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Abelardo Brodel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thomás Vides. Abelardo Brodel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. Vito Porto in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Thomás Vides, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some careless play in the AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ defense, Abelardo Brodel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomás Vides. The AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomás Vides should have stopped the shot. Vito Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Thomás Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Paulo Castro in the 84th minute of play forced AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's goalkeeper Thomás Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
