In the 9th minute Tiãozão Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aílton Mota charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aílton Mota the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gracie Barra's Aílton Mota got a free kick in the 12th minute. Orlando do Valle hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Tiãozão Machado put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Marcelo Paranaense. Gracie Barra's Hílton Mattos suffered a sore knee after 23 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Hortêncio Fontes fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mineiros Esporte Clube's protests and gave Hortêncio Fontes a yellow card for diving instead. Gracie Barra's Cauan Neiva was substituted for Hílton Mattos. In the 24th minute, Hortêncio Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baltazar de Amorim came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Mineiros Esporte Clube's Wilton Siqueira. But to his dismay, Wilton Siqueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 33 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goal looked a bit too open when Flávio Schmidt came free, but Baltazar de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gracie Barra's Baltazar de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flávio Schmidt in the 37th minute of play. Gustavo Xavier hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Marcelo Paranaense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiãozão Machado in the 42nd minute. In the 44th match minute, Gracie Barra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aílton Mota to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Flávio Schmidt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Mineiros Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Marcelo Paranaense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Queirós in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Paranaense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Mineiros Esporte Clube defense, Tiãozão Machado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Paranaense. The Mineiros Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Paranaense should have stopped the shot. In the 66th match minute, Gracie Barra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aílton Mota to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute, Eliseu Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando do Valle hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Baltazar de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilton Siqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tiãozão Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gracie Barra's Baltazar de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton Siqueira in the 87th minute of play. A collision led to Mineiros Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Eliseu Maciel hit a great ball. If Oséias Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd match minute, Mineiros Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseu Maciel to maneuver through the defense. Gracie Barra's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
