The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Feminista MZC booed when Mineiros Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilton Siqueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agnaldo Sarmento hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Flávio Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Caetano Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baltazar Cardoso during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Baltazar Cardoso hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Luz in the 14th minute of play forced Mineiros Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Marcelo Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Flávio Schmidt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Feminista MZC's Ronaldo Luz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Paranaense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flávio Schmidt got free with Caetano Pirani in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wilton Siqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caetano Pirani having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Feminista MZC's Rubinho Koehler got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Mineiros Esporte Clube's Flávio Schmidt got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th match minute, Feminista MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubinho Koehler to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Feminista MZC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th minute, Clemente Tróia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Feminista MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilton Siqueira came free, but Caetano Pirani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caetano Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Schmidt in the 63rd minute of play. Marcelo Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Agnaldo Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Flávio Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Feminista MZC's Pedro Paes got a free kick in the 88th minute. A collision led to Feminista MZC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Clemente Tróia hit a great ball. Wilton Siqueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Caetano Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Mineiros Esporte Clube manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Feminista MZC to win.
