Lucas Moura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Adilson Pirani made a huge save. Giovana F C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Jeferson Vianna scored to the left of an out of position Adilson Pirani, making the score, 2-0. Lucas Moura had several of the Giovana F C's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 20 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Adilson Pirani as he didn't even see the shot coming. In a very dangerous position, a player in ✪ XV de Umarizal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! In the 26th minute there was a penalty for Giovana F C. Gino de Sousa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Remo Amaral. 3-1. In the 30th minute Lauro de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remo Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to ✪ XV de Umarizal getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Valdo Vergílio hit a great ball. Lucas Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Duarte Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Remo Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd match minute, ✪ XV de Umarizal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeferson Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Adilson Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeferson Vianna in the 45th minute of play. Rodrigo Nestor hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeferson Vianna was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of ✪ XV de Umarizal booed when Giovana F C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gino de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lucas Moura came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the ✪ XV de Umarizal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Moura couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Lucas Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. ✪ XV de Umarizal's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adilson Pirani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the game, Arthur Penha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Giovana F C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ✪ XV de Umarizal the free kick. Arthur Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Valdo Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giovana F C's Adilson Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Moura in the 67th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Giovana F C got a freekick which was hit by Gino de Sousa. In the 74th minute, Rodrigo Nestor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ✪ XV de Umarizal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. In the 83rd minute, Rodrigo Nestor made a precise shot to the right of Adilson Pirani. Giovana F C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. After some careless play in the Giovana F C defense, Rodrigo Nestor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adilson Pirani. The Giovana F C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adilson Pirani should have stopped the shot. Adilson Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeferson Vianna, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ✪ XV de Umarizal fans cheered their team off the field, for while Giovana F C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
