The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anderson Esteves charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anderson Esteves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 2 played minutes LRCA Office Club got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Esteves. Ekzema F.V.'s Daniel Bueno got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Vitinho Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. LRCA Office Club's Maurício Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswaldo Coutinho in the 7th minute of play. Maurício Linhares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Batista in the 11th minute. Wellington Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho Lima in the 14th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ekzema F.V. defense, Dudu Silva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wellington Baiano. The Ekzema F.V. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wellington Baiano should have stopped the shot. Wellington Baiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardinho Lima went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 0-3 became the score in the 25th minute when Ricardinho Lima elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Alexsandro Guedes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the match, LRCA Office Club's goalkeeper Maurício Linhares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Batista. After a defensive mix-up in Ekzema F.V.'s zone, Dudu Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wellington Baiano came out of the goal and Dudu Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. LRCA Office Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Daniel Bueno scored to the left of an out of position Maurício Linhares, making the score, 1-3. When Daniel Bueno came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Ekzema F.V. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Bueno couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricardinho Lima was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, Oswaldo Coutinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ekzema F.V. and the LRCA Office Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ekzema F.V.'s Wellington Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Lima in the 53rd minute of play. When Josué Mangueira fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LRCA Office Club's protests and gave Josué Mangueira a yellow card for diving instead. Luís Guilherme Corrêa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maurício Linhares. LRCA Office Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Ekzema F.V.'s Wellington Baiano got control of the ball when Dudu Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alexsandro Guedes hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, Ekzema F.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ricardinho Lima came free, but Wellington Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 62 played minutes LRCA Office Club got a freekick which was hit by Alexsandro Guedes. Samuca Tróia struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Maurício Linhares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ekzema F.V.. Ekzema F.V.'s Wellington Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Lima in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Ekzema F.V.'s goalkeeper Wellington Baiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexsandro Guedes. In the 72nd minute, Daniel Bueno made a precise shot to the right of Maurício Linhares. LRCA Office Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Maurício Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Guilherme Corrêa in the 77th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of LRCA Office Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ekzema F.V.:s goal. The referee gave Ekzema F.V. a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fernando Batista, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of LRCA Office Club's Maurício Linhares. 3-3. In the 84th minute, Samuca Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Samuca Tróia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maurício Linhares. LRCA Office Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samuca Tróia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. Dudu Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oswaldo Coutinho hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After having played for 96 minutes, Alexsandro Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LRCA Office Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexsandro Guedes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dudu Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Many of LRCA Office Club's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. LRCA Office Club may have spent more time on the ball, but Ekzema F.V. were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
