When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Luís Quintal took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Wellington Baiano to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Ekzema F.V. booed when Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedé Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Thiago Galvan could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Wellington Baiano however easily saved by the left post. Luís Quintal did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Wellington Baiano 35 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Ekzema F.V.'s Wellington Baiano got control of the ball when Válter Machado tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Quintal got free with Wellington Baiano in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute, Alex de Medeiros reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wellington Baiano. The goal made the score 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Wellington Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex de Medeiros in the 68th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Bueno during the 76th minute.
